Course Content & Learning

What to expect from our education programs.

Bradford Hill Academy courses are designed for a broad range of learners working in or with the pharmaceutical and life science industry. The catalog includes courses at introductory and advanced levels to serve different professional backgrounds.

  • Students and early-career professionals entering the pharmaceutical field
  • Project managers and cross-functional professionals collaborating with pharmaceutical teams
  • Experienced specialists in Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Discovery, R&D, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Diagnostics
  • Advanced professionals seeking structured, evidence-based continuing education

Each course page specifies the target audience and recommended background, so you can identify the most appropriate starting point for your level.

Yes. All course content is grounded in published scientific literature, official regulatory guidance documents (FDA, EMA, ICH guidelines), and established industry practice. Where relevant, sources are cited directly within the course materials.

Content is reviewed for accuracy and updated when regulatory guidance or scientific consensus evolves.

Course length varies by program. The estimated completion time is shown on each course page.

All courses are self-paced — you can complete them in concentrated sessions or spread your learning over several weeks.

Yes. Each course includes module-level knowledge checks (case studies and quizzes) and a final assessment. These are designed to test applied understanding rather than simple recall. A minimum passing score is required to receive the completion certificate.

Courses are offered in English, or in English and German, depending on the course. Each course page indicates the languages available. Where a German version exists, you can switch language at any point using the selector within the course interface, and both versions cover the same content and regulatory depth.

Yes. Courses are reviewed and updated to reflect changes in regulatory guidance (FDA draft guidances, EMA updates), evolving scientific standards, and industry best practices. Major updates are communicated to enrolled learners by email.

Each course page includes a detailed curriculum overview, learning objectives, and target audience description to help you evaluate fit before purchasing.

Purchasing & Payment

Everything about ordering, invoices, and payment methods.

We currently accept:

  • PayPal — instant payment; course access is granted immediately after confirmation, unless a future start date was selected for the course
  • Invoice / Bank transfer — invoice sent, pay within 14 days; access activated upon payment receipt on the selected start date

All transactions are processed securely. Bradford Hill Academy does not store credit card or bank account data.

Yes. During checkout, select 'Company / Organisation' as the invoice type. You can then enter your company name, VAT ID, and PO number. The invoice will be issued to your company.

For bulk purchases of 5 or more seats, contact info@bradfordhillacademy.com for volume pricing.

Our courses are digital products. In accordance with EU consumer law, the right of withdrawal expires once course access has been granted and you have explicitly agreed to this during checkout.

If you experience a technical issue preventing access to a purchased course, contact us and we will resolve it promptly.

Platform & Access

Technical requirements, login, and course access details.

After purchase confirmation, you will receive an email with your login credentials. Log in here to access your dashboard and begin your course.

Access timing depends on the start date selected at checkout. If 'As soon as possible' was chosen, access follows payment confirmation — immediately for PayPal, or once your bank transfer is received for invoice payments. If a specific future start date was chosen, access opens on that date regardless of payment method.

The platform is fully browser-based and requires no installation. Courses are optimised for larger screens and work best on:

  • Laptop or desktop computer (Windows, macOS, Linux) — recommended for the best learning experience
  • Tablet (iPad, Android tablets) — suitable for most content; a larger screen size is preferable

Smartphones are technically supported but are not the recommended environment. Course content, including diagrams, data tables, and assessment questions, is designed for a wider viewport and may be harder to navigate on a small screen.

Supported browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (current versions). We recommend using Chrome or Firefox on a laptop for the most reliable experience.

The access period for each course is specified on the individual course page.

Click 'Lost your password?' on the login page here. Enter your registered email address and a reset link will be sent to you. If you don't receive it, check your spam folder or contact us.

Yes. During checkout, each course in your cart has its own start date selector. You can choose between:

  • As soon as possible — access is activated immediately after payment confirmation (PayPal) or after your bank transfer is received (invoice).
  • Choose a specific start date — select any date from tomorrow up to 12 months in the future. Your course access will be activated on that date, regardless of when payment was made.

If you purchase multiple courses in a single order, each course can have a different start date.

This depends on your payment method and chosen start date:

  • PayPal + As soon as possible: course access is granted within minutes of payment confirmation.
  • PayPal + Specific start date: payment is processed immediately, but course access opens on your chosen date.
  • Invoice + As soon as possible: course access is activated once your bank transfer is received. This typically takes 1–2 business days after you initiate the transfer.
  • Invoice + Specific start date: course access opens on your chosen date, provided payment has been received beforehand. We recommend transferring at least 5 business days before your intended start date.

Certificates & CPD

Information about completion certificates and continuing professional development.

Yes. Upon completing all modules and passing the final assessment, a digital completion certificate is issued automatically. It includes your name, course title, completion date, and the Bradford Hill Academy seal.

Bradford Hill Academy certificates are professional continuing education certificates. They are not issued by a state-recognised academic institution and do not confer academic degrees.

Whether a certificate counts towards CPD requirements of a specific professional body depends on that body's policies. We recommend checking with your relevant professional association.

Yes. Certificates are issued as PDFs and can be added to your LinkedIn profile under 'Licences & Certifications'. The certificate includes all details required for this section.

If you do not achieve the minimum passing score, you can review the relevant modules and retake the assessment.
